I know, i am a little bit to late with that topic, because this AndroidOS is more than 4 years old but i spent the last couple of days with that. And so i want to save it for myself.
If your Samsung Galaxy Ace 5830i is bricked (does not start or stuck in a boot loop), here is the ultimative way to unbrick it and update the OS to CyanogenMod9. I use the nightly build from the middle of the year 2015. Because for this phone, never exists a offical release of any other than the original Samsung image.
Security advice: Never use some of this for an other phone like the 5830i (with the i at the end) especially not with the Galaxy Ace 5830 (without the i)!

Requirements :
Samsung USB drivers for S5830i
– Samsung_USB-Driver_for_Mobile_Phones-1.5.27.0.exe
Rom for re-installation
– BTU-S5830iXXMD1_S5830iBTUMD1_S5830iXXMD1.zip
Odin
– Odin3-v3.07_Droidviews
– PC with Windows OS on it
ClockworkMod Recovery
– Version 6.0.1.2
CyanogenMod
– Version 9.1
Procedure to unbrick soft bricked Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i :
1) Download and install USB drivers if not already present on your PC.
2) Switch off and start your device into downloading mode by pressing and holding volume down + volume up + power buttons until you see the Download mode screen.
3) connect the phone in download mode to the PC
4) restart the PC and wait as long as its needs until the OS gets the phone as „Samsung USB Modem“ (maybe up to 15min)
5) Single .tar or .tar.md5 file installation
– Launch Odin3 as Administrator and connect your device using USB cable. If Odin detects your device then ID:COM port turns blue.
– Click PDA and browse the file with .tar or .tar.md5 extension. (S5830iXXMD1_S5830iBTUMD1_S5830iXXMD1_HOME.tar.md5)
– Make sure that only Auto Reboot and F Reset time check boxes are checked. Re partition should be unchecked.
– Press Start to begin flashing procedure.
6) Flashing process may take few minutes. Once flashing process is complete Odin will show PASS and your device will reboot.
6.1) If you get a bootloop i.e device keeps starting after Samsung logo.
– Then boot your device into e3 recovery mode by pressing and holding home + power + volume up button, until you see recovery menu.
– wipe data and cache
– select Reboot now to reboot your unbricked device successfully
Procedure to update Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i to CM9:
7) update ClockworkMod to 6.0.1.2
– Then boot your device in recovery mode by pressing and holding home + power + volume up button, until you see recovery menu.
– install update zip from SD card and select the file „cwm-clockworkmod-6-0-1-2-broadcomcm.zip“ and install it
– boot into your CWM 6.0.1.2
7.1) if you get errors like: „E: can’t mount /cache/recovery/..“
– Then boot your device in recovery mode (CWM) by pressing and holding home + power + volume up button, until you see recovery menu.
– go to advanced
– format and remount the pointed directory(s)
8. Install CyanogenMod (CM9_cooperve_Beta_05.zip)
– Then boot your device in recovery mode (CWM) by pressing and holding home + power + volume up button, until you see recovery menu.
– install CM9_cooperve_Beta_05.zip from SD card
– wipe data and cache partition
– reboot the phone and let CM do its work
and hopfully, you can see your new (4 years old) OS
